1. Transparent and ethical governance
Eradicate Corruption in Capitol by 2010 (Zero Corruption/10Y)
- Open government transactions to the public for scrutiny.
- Institutionalize participation of private watchdogs, civil society and NGOs in government transactions especially in monitoring projects.
2. Livelihood and jobs for the people
Create 5,000 jobs by 2010 (5K/10Y)
- Push farmers’ agricultural activities like vegetable and rice production and livestock raising.
- Develop local enterprises like food processing and handicraft.
- Develop sustainable tourism industry.
- Stable electric power supply in the province.
3. Health for the poor, health for all
Health for All (HEAL ALL)
- Socialized Health Care Program.
- People’s Health Care Fund.
4. Food security through sustainable agriculture
Reduce Hunger to 50% by 2010 (Reduce Hunger/10Y)
- Declare Aklan as Sustainable Agriculture province.
- Food production as centerpiece of agriculture program.
5. Sustainable tourism and environment
Movement for Sustainable Aklan Tourism (Move Tourism!)
- Sustainable Boracay Development
- Develop other tourism destinations
Environment Program focused on (Love Environment)
- Effective integrated waste management program.
- Rehabilitation of Aklan River Watershed
5-Point Agenda:
A general plan which I propose if I become your governor. I am not promising you everything - for it is impossible to meet all of your unique personal needs. However, what I can promise you is a plan which, when I am in the authority to execute will create a domino effect and provide solutions to many of our other unresolved provincial problems. It starts with the suitable and realistic , thus achievable goals. Hence, my political vision can only become outcomes with responsive and effective service-delivery which, I also ensure you that I will carry through.
